Fun Fact Map
A push-button world map that plays fun "facts", built as a birthday gift.
The idea
A goofy birthday gift for my sister: press any continent and it plays a fun fact about that part of the world, read in my own voice. The facts live on an SD card, so they're easy to update.
Build
The enclosure is two-color 3D printed, with each continent sitting proud of the surface to double as a button. A custom PCB handles the button inputs, charging, SD card reading, and speaker output.
